based on the musical work Gesang der Jünglinge(1955), by Stockhausen (Germany, 1928 - 2007), explore the materiality of sign and verbal language in the relationship between writing and drawing. Certain analogies are possible between the works of Schendel and Stockhausen, and also between the relations that each of them establishes with the text from which they originate, the Canticle of the three youths, from the third book of Daniel. The monotypes and the musical piece promote an approximation between discourse and experience based on the interaction between drawings and words, sounds and articulate voice, and on the notions of time and space that the two works suggest. Escritasalso establishes relationships with experiences in poetry that, in a similar way, promote reflection on verbal language through the spatialized word, such as concrete Brazilian poetry and its references.
